GXtest has three components: GXtest Designer, where the tester works every day modeling test cases; GXtest Recorder, which is the tool to record the user's actions; and GXtest Manager, which is the component that centralizes projects, test cases, reports, etc.

GXtest Designer is the tool for modeling the test cases to be made automatic. This modeling consists of an oriented graph where the nodes represent the application's pages and the edges are the events that make it possible to navigate from one page to another.

GXtest Recorder is an Internet Explorer add-in that allows using the record and playback approach for making test cases automatic.
